Some exciting news for the penguins fans or Crosby fans out there, Sidney Crosby a 24 year old from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia played hockey since he was three and I think it really paid off.

Sidney Crosby the man who was out all of 2010-2011 season with a concussion and then out at the near beginning of 2011-2012 season and then surprised everyone once again with his skill has done something some people would call a little reckless. Ray Shero a couple days handed Sid the Kid a contract extend of $104.4 million and asked him if he felt like signing it and agreeing to stay 12 more years, and well not to any one’s surprise Crosby took a pen and signed it. For the next 12 years we will see if the Kid can show that him getting $8.7 mill a year was a good decision.

Most people call it a risky and irresponsible move since Crosby has already had 2 concussions and the having the 3^rd he will have to call it quits, but do you think that Sid will let that happen? I mean concussions are pretty rare as it is so to think that a man will get one any time soon may be known as crazy. Even if someone tries the Penguins got a couple goons on the team to keep him out of harms way, and those Goons are Brooks Orpik, Aaron Asham, and Deryk Engelland, not to mention the sort of goonish MVP/ Super Star Evgeni Malkin protecting Crosby’s back.

The super star is amazing and hope that he continues to impress with many more years to come and everyone will always love the amazing small town Canadian man Sidney Crosby!

Just Trade Him Already

I know all you have been wondering where Luongo might go or if he is being traded but there is a final and only destination that Luongo wants to go to and that’s home.

His wife and kids live in Florida and that’s the place he calls home, Roberto Luongo a 33-year old net minder for the Vancouver Canucks has been tossed back and forth on what team they want to trade him to but Roberto said he wants to play for one team and one team only, the Florida Panthers but in the Canucks mind they will not pay the full price to get him....but I think they will have to accept it or knock off the decision to trade him.

In my opinion making the teams argue on what team they want him to play is a waste of time just ship him off to Florida so he can be happy with his family and take Jose Theodore and Erik Gudbranson, then the Nucks will be better and they will still have a good backup goalie.

I understand trading is hard but its Luongo he’s not that great anymore trade him for someone we know can accomplish the goals it takes to win the Stanley Cup, the Canucks haven’t even won one Stanley Cup this will help make sure that this time it will be official.

Depressing news for Penguins fans today, Forward Jordan Staal and Defense Zbynek Michalek have been traded to another team.

Jordan Staal a player who was drafted the first round pick to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2006 is apparently no longer needed in Pittsburgh, he will join his brother Eric Staal on the Carolina Hurricanes next season. Jordan Staal was traded to the Canes for Brandon Sutter and an 8^th round pick, but here is the interesting part a lot of people said it was a waste because the Hurricanes over paid to get Jordan Staal and they just handed them Brandon Sutter and a 8^TH Round pick? Sounds pretty bad to me. In the end the Canes will have a problem with their salary. Jordan was the alternate of the team and was an amazing player with so much skill to see him go will be a loss for all Penguins fans and hopefully a positive go for the Hurricanes.

Another person who is gone was one of penguins best defense by far Zbynek Michalek. He was traded to the Phoenix Coyotes for Marc Cheverie, Harrison Ruopp, and a 3^rd round pick, looks like they go someone to keep Sid company, and a defense they think might be better than Zbynek Michalek. But hold on there is more the penguins also acquired Tomas Vokoun from the Washington Capitals for a 7^th round pick.

Ray Shero I hope you have a mysterious but amazing plan going on in your head because you have traded to players that probably cannot be replaced, but man do I have faith in you. You’re an amazing GM who has done crazy things to make sure we win.

Has Not Backed Down Yet!

After the hard season and the unfortunate loss New York Rangers comedy man Brandon Dubinsky made a comment that he is not ready to leave just yet.

Brandon Dubinsky despite the rough season this year has done a significant job playing hockey, he has not signed a contract because he still is on his 4 year contract that he signed last year on July 2011 and he said he’s going to stay with the rangers despite unexpected season he had this year. Dubinsky who last year led the team with 24 goals and 30 assists has had a tiresome season after the winter classics, can anyone blame him though?

The sight of Crosby coming back shocked a lot of people and the numerous battles against the penguins kept the Rangers fighting and playing but it was a tough battle over and over both teams have amazing stamina, outstanding players and with no doubt incredible goalies who would do anything to win.

The amazing player still tries to show his strength and abilities no matter what and in the future I'm sure the team will rise the cup up high once again.

Erik Karlsson Extends to 7 years!

Day before the NHL Awards Erik Karlsson signed a extending contract to play for the Ottawa Senators for another 7 years for $45.5 mill, 22 year old Erik Karlsson of the Ottawa Senators who won the James Norris Memorial Trophy last night is an outstanding defence man who has shown that if you put your heart in to what you love you can be a super star.

Erik Karlsson who scored a total 39 goals, 117 assists and 156 points in the whole2011-2012 season is known for his skills and agility, not to mention the strength of how fast the man can fly on the ice, he is a great teammate with lots of sportsmanship and care towards his team the Ottawa Senators are probably the luckiest team to have such an amazing player such as him, Erik Karlsson is a rising star in the way of defense and will continue to shine throughout his career and maybe do many more amazing things.

Luongo A Goner?

Roberto Luongo previously the #1 goalie of the Vancouver Canucks has not been playing so well for about 3 years or so, everyone has lost faith in Luo and has been turning to the ginger Cory Schneider.

Corey Schneider the 2^nd goalie for the Vancouver Canucks is like a rising star he is doing an amazing job saving pucks, Schneider last year didn’t really get a chance to play in the normal season or the playoff season, could it be because Luongo is selfish and wants not only all the money but the fame to himself? One cannot help but wonder if the fact that Robert Luongo accepting the right to be traded at any time is a good thing or if it’s just a test to see who will try and snatch him away from the Canucks.

In my personal opinion keeping Luongo on the team would be a waste of money, time and energy to train him to actually save a few pucks here and there, we have an amazing goalie that has proven himself to be amazing and the Canucks need to fix the team so I say trade the man to a team where we can get some affective players.

The Vancouver Canucks have never won a Stanley Cup they have come close several times but they haven’t been able to grab it, last year’s season was horrible it looked like Luo wasn’t even trying and the Vancouver Canucks need a goalie who is going to give 110% out there on the ice and make sure that they can make it through to the end.

Luongo said if he could go to any team he wouldn’t mind going to Toronto Maple Leafs, there was apparently a suggestion to trade Luongo to the Maple Leafs for Phil Kessel and one of their draft picks....looks like they have one more day before they can’t add the draft pick in the trad so they will have to hurry up with that decision, Other rumors are that the Florida Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs are both interested in Luongo but the Canucks don’t want to make what they call a “soft deal” at this point they are hoping to get a better deal for Luongo.

Hopefully in the next week we will hear more from where the “run out” goalie will go, if he stays in Vancouver and is just put as the backup goalie for later or if he goes to another team and the Canucks get a better chance to fix their team. I will keep you posted on the details.

STAY OR GO?......STAAL OR NO?

Jordan Staal a forward of the Pittsburgh Penguin who has been known to the team to be an outstanding player has been offered a 10 year contract to play with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Jordan Staal declined the deal noting that he is not interested in a future with the Pittsburgh Penguins at the moment, maybe in the future we might see something different. Then again if you remember reading the news or hearing the rumors the Penguins noted they might have to trade Jordan Staal due to a issue with the salary, they came across the issue and had to think it over either they lower a few players pay or trade a few expensive players to make enough room for the new players to come play on the team.

The man who has scored a total of 143 goals, 141 assists, and 284 points in his years of playing with the Pittsburgh Penguins now decides that he might not want to stay, well so be it but the man will never be forgotten if he leaves this team. Jordan Staal was an amazing player and nothing could change the love that he showed a lot of fans, he amazed people and got fans to jump out of their seats every time his skills were shown. Nothing will change the fact that Jordan Staal in our hearts will always be a Penguin no matter what team he decides to play for next year, and to think about it if he leaves gives us more room to improve on what players we have and make it so our team is better for next seasons chance at the Stanley Cup.

Not saying the man should leave just saying if he wants to leave let the bird fly free from the nest and experience a new adventure somewhere else he defiantly will be missed at the home of the Penguins forever and always. I will keep you updated if the Staal man decides to spread his wings and fly away or stay with his family here in the Igloo, a note for Jordan Staal.......don’t stall too long superstar.

You guys remember Jack Jablonski who was paralyzed from the waist down from a hockey incident well I have news on the strong and incredibly persistent guy.

Jack Jablonski a couple weeks back had an amazing thing happen he moved his fingers and his ankle on the left side of his body meaning he is finally getting his movement back slowly but he is in a good progress. As much as he is still moving the poor warrior is going through some tough times right now a couple days ago he was not feeling well and was brought back in to the hospital to make sure everything was well, he is being so strong for a guy his age the amount he has already gone through is absolutely amazing.

Good thing is that Jack Jablonski is out of the hospital and doing well and the guy even got his state championship ring.

Congrats Jack and Happy Healing!

Alex Ovechkin a changing man

Alex Ovechkin the guy who used to care about himself is doing an outstanding job

Ovi has picked up his game and has been talking more about his respectable team mates and how good they play, it quite amazing to hear that such talent is being shown i hope he continues the work and continues to impress every one who cares and loves him.

He is an amazing guy but some times he needs to work on his attitude a little bit because in the end that will fade and he is doing an amazing job especially through all the hills he had to go over in his life.

Next year Ovi can try harder on working on both his skill and attitude and then he will be respected by the whole world rather than just Washington or russians.
