Still Not Ready

On September 7th Sidney Crosby finally spoke out for the first time in two weeks, Sidney said “mentally I feel good its probably the best honestly, um I’m really happy with the last three weeks its been very positive it’s been a tough road” and for the young hockey player Sidney Crosby who sustained two hits to the head in January I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that he is a little frustrated, one thing is for sure that Sidney Crosby the captain of the Pittsburgh penguins will not be going to the camp that is to start very soon due to the incident that happened when he was working out, while he was working out Sidney said to the trainers that he all of a sudden started to feel light headed and at the interview he said “once I started to increase exertion and intensity all those things started to creep back a little” he seemed to look fine at the interview but we don’t know that for sure cause we aren’t all doctors, there was so many comment and questions on what his progress was but they weren’t all good.
“Maybe I could get by on 90 per cent, maybe I couldn't, but I'm not going to roll the dice with it” says Crosby
He is still working with the doctors to get that barley 90% in to a perfect 100%, he will have to do loads of work to be able to take the amazing hits that every hockey player has to take, but that’s not all Sidney also went on to talk about his retirement CBC’s reporter Paul Hunter said “the thought on every one’s mind which is there remains a possibility that you will never play in the NHL again”
“Pretty Slight on I wouldn’t bet on that” Crosby replies with frustration
The more they talked about the concussion the more frustrated Sidney got but that’s understandable for a guy who has not played a single game for about 8 months now, there has been many practices and trying to progress but with the two hits and lack of game time Sidney being annoyed with his concussion sounds pretty reasonable. Doctors claimed that with the concussion that he got that it’s not surprising he hasn’t returned yet, Sidney was diagnosed with a Vestibular type concussion which affects the balance and the spatial orientation of the player which happen to be the most important things that a hockey player needs to have working in his head to play.
Its unsure when the superstar will return he could be back near the beginning or he could be back when the Stanly cup playoffs are going on, whatever happens if it means a full recovery for Sid the Kid any time is worth the wait to see him back on his feet again. Hopefully Sidney can recover before the playoffs and just after the beginning of the season.
